About Me...
_edited.jpg)
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with almost 25 years experience. I am a trained Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (CBT) and an EMDRIA trained Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist. Both are evidenced based treatment modalities supported by extensive research to ensure the most positive outcomes in treatment.
I began practicing counseling in 1999. I have worked in federal and county Correctional Institutions and I ran a program for domestic violence offenders. I also worked as an outpatient therapist in a community mental health center and was the director of a child and adolescent partial hospitalization program.

My career shifted in 2009 when I was provided the opportunity to support Active Duty Military Members and their Families. This role took me to high deploying military installations CONUS and OCONUS. I also worked as the psychological health coordinator (PHC) for the PA Army National Guard for 6 years.
My counseling style is warm and supportive. I believe in empowering clients to identify and pursue their goals in treatment and working with them to achieve these goals. I believe that people are hard-wired for resilience and have an innate ability to heal.

When I found the counseling profession, I truly found my passion. There is no greater honor and privilege than sitting in the moment with someone and hearing their story and seeing the power of human resiliency and healing take place.
My areas of expertise include PTSD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, chronic fatigue, chronic pain, men's issues, women's issues, DBT techniques, Military and Veteran stress, First Responder stress, stress reduction, career transitions and life transitions.
